Regular HD can support close to 1000 IO/ps
Following graph show how you can check IO for server 3110 for example. Actually this server some time up to 7000!!!! IO 8-0
By couple simple followings steps you can found this usefully information for you:
1) Found on VC server
2) Press on Performance
3) Press on Chart options
4) Press on Disk/Real-time
5) On Counters check Write requests and Read requests
