Web Application Firewall
WAF is a service designed to prevent a malicious attack through network applications (SQL injection, cross-site scripting, etc.), while also serving as an all-in-one solution for including content filtering, spam filtering and antivirus. Preventing assaults is accomplished by filtering web traffic using a learning process for the specific system’s scenarios, and then creating and maintaining a relevant set of rules for the protected application.
The WAF service includes: Filtering data traveling over the communication line before it arrives the server, identifying and curtailing assaults such as SQL injection, cross-site scripting, etc., as well as working to support strict credit card compliance regulations known as PCI-DSS (A WAF is one of the compliance requirements).
