Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

XGlobe is a Local Internet Registry (LIR) which allows to obtain resources such as ASN (Autonomous System Number) and IP blocks.

BGP is a scalable dynamic routing protocol used on the Internet by groups of routers to share routing information. BGP uses route parameters to define routing policies and create a stable, efficient routing environment. This protocol essentially helps you advertise more than one path to and from the Internet to your network and resources, yielding redundant paths for increased uptime. XGlobe helps its clients set up this framework by Providing IP block, configuring the customer’s network equipment, and finally by peering the customer with the desired BGP peer (ISP), thus creating a BGP peering between the customer and a service provider, allowing the customer's IP block to become globally routable.
